Starting from May 1, 2024, the implementation of forming volunteer groups in each region to involve the population in rescue operations during strong earthquakes will commence. This information was provided by the press service of the Tashkent regional government.
"Citizens participating in volunteer groups will receive training on the rules and procedures for movement during severe earthquakes every quarter, as required by law, with an emphasis on enhancing their knowledge and skills in this area,” the report says.
Additionally, buildings and structures with 9 floors or more planned for new construction in the region will undergo inspections using vibrodynamic equipment.
Multi-apartment buildings identified as seismically weak will gradually undergo instrumental technical inspections and necessary strengthening measures.
