Weekend Calendar for Kurban Khayit

Uzbekistan citizens are in for an extended weekend at the end of May. According to a presidential decree, residents of the republic will enjoy a five-day continuous holiday period to fully rest and celebrate Kurban Khayit, applying universally to all categories of employees.
· May 27, Wednesday — Kurban Khayit;
· May 28, Thursday — additional day off for everyone;
· May 29, Friday — additional day off for everyone;
· May 30, Saturday — additional day off for those on a 6-day workweek, regular day off for those on a 5-day workweek;
· May 31, Sunday — regular day off for everyone.
In 2026, Kurban Khayit falls on Wednesday, May 27. Based on the presidential decree signed on December 24, 2025, the festive days off will last for five consecutive days, from May 27 to May 31. Thursday and Friday (May 28–29) are declared additional non-working days for everyone. Saturday, May 30, is also an extra day off, including for those on a six-day workweek, while May 31 will wrap up the holidays as a standard Sunday rest.
