What is being done to export Uzbekistan's leather and footwear products to the world market?

On April 26, Minister of Investments, Industry, and Trade Laziz Kudratov, employees of the Administration of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and the management of the Association "Uzcharmsanoat" held a roundtable discussion on the topic "Issues Arising in the Export of Leather and Footwear Products and Their Solutions." This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Investments, Industry, and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
It is noted that more than 40 heads of enterprises producing and exporting leather and footwear products from all regions of the country took part in the dialogue.
During the open dialogue, systemic and individual problems arising in the production and export activities of entrepreneurs were discussed. In particular, opportunities to increase the added value of leather and footwear products, diversification of external markets, expansion of the raw material base, and provision of the industry with qualified personnel were considered.
Entrepreneurs put forward 25 innovative proposals based on personal experience, which were accepted for analysis and development of centralized solutions.
As a result of the roundtable, a "Roadmap" was formed, including mechanisms for solving all problematic issues.
