Where in Uzbekistan Pays the Most

Economy

The Statistics Agency has released data on public income for the first quarter of 2026. The figures demonstrate a steady growth in nominal salaries across the republic; however, the gap between the capital and industrial centers compared to agricultural regions remains significant.

Where in Uzbekistan Pays the Most
By the end of January-March 2026, the average monthly nominal accrued salary in Uzbekistan reached 6,825,900 soums. Tashkent remains the undisputed leader, where the average figure has neared the 11.7 million soum mark, showing an impressive growth of 18.8%.

Navoi region traditionally holds the second spot in the ranking (8.45 million soums), driven by a high concentration of mining and industrial enterprises. The Tashkent region rounds out the top three with a figure of 6.17 million soums.

Namangan region demonstrated interesting dynamics: although the nominal amount there stands at approximately 5.1 million soums, the region recorded the highest growth rate in the country at 19%. High growth rates were also noted in the Jizzakh region (+17.3%) and Samarkand (+16.5%).

At the bottom of the salary rankings were the Kashkadarya (4.66 million soums) and Surkhandarya (4.72 million soums) regions. These regions also recorded the lowest income growth rates, ranging from 12.1% to 14.3%. This statistics reflects current economic trends: the concentration of capital in service and industrial hubs, alongside the gradual elevation of other regions through active industrialization.
