YouTube revealed AI services for music generation
YouTube has unveiled new experimental services powered by artificial intelligence, including Dream Track for YouTube Shorts. The tool allows you to create soundtracks of up to 30 seconds using AI-generated voices of performers.

Despite musicians being sceptical of AI (and using their voices to create models without permission or compensation), YouTube has enlisted nine popular artists - Alec Benjamin, Charlie Puth, Charli XCX, Demi Lovato, John Legend, Louis Belle, Papoose, Sia, T-Pain and Troye Sivan.

The video creator describes what the song should be about and chooses one of the nine musicians on the list. That's enough for a neural network to create the lyrics, minus and the singer's voice and combine it all into a 30-second track.

Another service with the generic name Music AI Tools lets you create songs from chants and detailed descriptions. Some authors will be able to test it by the end of 2023.

When the tools will be available to a wider audience - did not specify. While the company is testing new features.
