The Museum of Islamic Art, visited by the First Lady, reflects the diversity of traditional culture and the versatility of Islamic art. It displays Islamic art objects from the 7th to 19th centuries from Asia, Europe and the Middle East.
First Lady of Uzbekistan Ziroat Mirziyoyeva familiarised herself with the Qatar National Museum and the Museum of Islamic Art. UzA reports.
The National Museum of Qatar was opened in 2019. It embodies the history of the state, customs and traditions of Qatar's residents, information about monuments in the country. Visitors to the museum can get acquainted with the nature of the Persian Gulf and the rare animals living there.
A special place among the attractions of Qatar is occupied by the Museum of Islamic Art. The museum is located on an artificial island off the coast of Doha and consists of 5 floors. It was opened in 2008.
The museum has a library and reading room for 200 seats, a restoration laboratory and presentation rooms.
Another notable aspect: this museum also houses a copy of a page from the Quran brought from Samarkand. This testifies to the strong friendship and spiritual community of our peoples.
