UNESCO Bosh Assambleyasi sessiyasi ilk bor O‘zbekistonda bo‘lib o‘tadi

UNESCO Bosh Assambleyasining navbatdagi 43-sessiyasi O‘zbekiston taklifiga ko‘ra Samarqand shahrida bo‘lib o‘tadi. Bu haqda O‘zbekiston Prezidentining matbuot kotibi Sherzod Asadov xabar berdi.
The next 43rd session of the UNESCO General Assembly will be held in Samarkand at the suggestion of Uzbekistan. Sherzod Asadov, spokesman for the President of Uzbekistan, said.
"The 42nd session of the General Assembly taking place in the French capital has supported Uzbekistan's proposal to hold the next, 43rd session in 2025 in the city of Samarkand and made a relevant decision," he said.
It is noted that for the first time in more than 40 years the event will be held outside Paris.
"This is a diplomatic success," commented Simona-Mirela Miculescu, chairperson of the 42nd session, on the decision.
Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev also thanked all the country's partners for supporting the decision.
"I am confident that this important global event, which will be held for the first time in our region, will once again make it possible to demonstrate to the world community the enormous civilisational potential of Uzbekistan and Central Asian states," the President said.
