Microsoft is going to abandon WordPad
According to the report, the WordPad text editor has been added to the list of deprecated features of the Windows operating system.
It is claimed that the Microsoft application has not been updated for a long time, and the company has no plans to develop it. In the next big update "WordPad" will be completely removed.

A note posted by Microsoft advises users to use Microsoft Word for text documents such as .doc and .rtf and Windows Notepad for plain text documents such as .txt.
