Today, 2 February, a delegation of the government of Uzbekistan visited Almaty (Kazakhstan) to participate in the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council and Digital Forum. This was reported by the press service of the Government of Uzbekistan.

During the visit, the delegations of the governments of the two countries met under the chairmanship of Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abdulla Aripov and Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Alikhan Smailov.

"Positive growth dynamics is observed between Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan in all directions. In particular, over the past 7 years, the volume of trade has more than doubled. Important joint projects are being implemented in various sectors of the economy. Co-operation in transport and energy has significantly intensified. Interregional and cultural-humanitarian co-operation is expanding," the report says.

The sides exchanged views on these and other topical issues on the agenda.
