Accident on the Main Gas Pipeline in Bukhara

Today, on February 10, an accident occurred at the 106th kilometer of the "Bukhara–Ural" main gas pipeline passing through Bukhara region. A major fire broke out due to a gas leak from an underground pipeline with a diameter of 1020 mm and operating under a pressure of 26 kg.

The emergency response service acted promptly, and by 11:30, the gas leakage was stopped. According to official reports, no casualties were recorded. The nearest populated area to the incident site is the Kizilrabot neighborhood in the Romitan district, located 40 km away.

Local Telegram channels reported the closure of methane refueling stations in the region. Initially, the Ministry of Energy stated that temporary restrictions would be imposed on their operation until the situation was resolved. However, this information was soon removed by the ministry.

Later, the ministry issued a clarifying statement, announcing that all vehicle gas-filling compressor stations across the country would continue to operate in the previously agreed manner.
