After nearly a five-year break, the next round of political consultations between Uzbekistan and Slovakia was held in Tashkent. This was reported by Dunyo AA.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Slovak delegation was led by Marek Eshtok, State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs, and the Uzbek delegation was headed by Muzaffar Madrahimov, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs.

During the talks, the current state of relations between Uzbekistan and Slovakia and prospects for further development in various fields were discussed. The main focus was on trade, economic, investment, and cultural-humanitarian cooperation, as well as developing cooperation within international organizations.

The parties emphasized the importance of further strengthening high-level and senior political dialogue. There was also an exchange of views on pressing international and regional issues.

Agreements were reached to organize reciprocal visits at various levels and expand the contractual-legal framework of bilateral relations.

The parties agreed to hold the next round of political consultations in Bratislava in 2026.
