Uzbekistan’s Export of Transport Services to Reach 3 Billion USD
In the past seven years, the number of freight transport vehicles in Uzbekistan has increased sevenfold, reaching 26,000, with the share of local carriers in international freight transport rising from 35% to 60%.

"In the western direction, delivery times have doubled, and costs have increased by 1.5 times. Some border crossing points at European countries are closed, while others have long queues. In this regard, the need to consistently develop the transport and logistics system and diversify foreign trade routes has been emphasized," reported the press service of the President of Uzbekistan.

It was noted that to support local freight forwarders, VAT will be abolished on their international transport services. This will, in turn, allow them to increase their market share to 45-50%.

Additionally, it was proposed to implement electronic queues at borders, reduce transit times to 20 minutes, and introduce online monitoring of transport processes.
