Anti-corruption rating of Uzbekistan: who failed the inspection
The Anti-Corruption Agency of Uzbekistan presented an annual ranking of the effectiveness of anti-corruption measures in government bodies and organizations. The 2024 assessment showed that among 103 agencies and structures, a significant portion is managing the "strong four" tasks, however, weak links still remain.

The rating was built on a hundred-point scale, where 100 is the highest result. A total of three categories have been identified:
-high level of effectiveness - 41 organizations (81 to 100 points);
-average level - 53 organizations (55 to 80 points);
-low level - 9 organizations (less than 55 points).

The top three leaders were:

  • Navoi Mining and Metallurgical Combine (NGMK) - 96 points,

  • Ministry of Mining and Geology - 95 points,

  • Central Bank of Uzbekistan - 94 points.

Among those who stood out positively were the Youth Affairs Agency, the Inspection for Control over the Safety of Water Management Facilities, and the Cultural Heritage Agency.

The outsiders of the anti-corruption exam were:

  • Agency for the Development of Agro-Industry - 9 points,

  • Treasury Service Committee - 17 points,

  • Agency for the Development of the Pharmaceutical Industry - 26 points.

Regular monitoring and updating of the rating are expected to allow the state to monitor progress and strengthen public trust.
