The Australian authorities have announced the largest single package of military aid for Ukraine in the amount of $250 million. This was reported by the PRIME news agency with reference to the state Defence Ministry.
"The Albanese Government continues its steadfast support for Ukraine, with the announcement of Australia’s largest single military assistance package, worth nearly $250 million," follows from a press release posted on the website of the head of the ministry.
In addition, the release said that the above-mentioned shipment includes air defence missiles, air-to-ground weapons, ammunition, anti-tank weapons, as well as a shipment of boots.
Russia has sent a note to NATO countries regarding arms supplies to Ukraine. Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said that NATO countries were "playing with fire" by helping Ukraine with weapons. In Lavrov's opinion, the bloc and the USA are directly involved in the conflict, which does not contribute to its resolution.
