Bloomberg: Reopening their embassies in Afghanistan is a possibility for EU countries
Bloomberg reports, citing officials and sources from certain European Union countries, that several European nations are thinking of reopening their embassies in Afghanistan and officially endorsing the Taliban movement.

Italy is specifically thinking about reopening its embassy in Afghanistan. The ambassador of Italy to Qatar, according to Italian Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani, recently travelled to Kabul.

Additionally, representatives from France, Britain, and Germany told the agency that they do not intend to open representative offices in Kabul anytime soon.

For information, Western countries closed their diplomatic missions in 2021 after the withdrawal of US troops from Afghanistan and the capture of Kabul by the Taliban.
