Addressing the "United for Peace in Palestine" summit in Istanbul, First Lady of Uzbekistan Ziroat Mirziyoyeva expressed deep condolences and sympathy to the families and relatives of all victims of armed conflicts. She noted that the terrible events that have been taking place in Gaza for more than a month now, in which thousands and thousands of people, especially innocent children, elderly and women, have been killed, cannot be justified in any way.

"Unfortunately, despite strong protest and pressure from the international community, the scale of destruction and death toll has increased to unprecedented levels with no end in sight. As a result, the possibility of drawing new forces in the region into this conflict increases," said the First Lady of Uzbekistan.

According to the First Lady, the people of Uzbekistan sincerely feel the suffering and sorrows that have befallen the peaceful inhabitants of Palestine. The First Lady once again expressed Uzbekistan's firm stance on the issue, calling on both sides to immediately cease fire and hostilities, create opportunities for the delivery of humanitarian aid to the affected population, and resolve the conflict exclusively through peaceful, diplomatic means on the principle of "two states for two peoples".

It was noted that Uzbekistan is united with the Palestinian people and fully supports their right to establish an independent state in accordance with UN resolutions. As a result of the summit, a Declaration of Goodwill was adopted.
