In the second half of June, the Chinese airline Loong Air plans to open a new air route from Xi'an to Samarkand, according to the press service of Uzbekistan Airports.
"The intention to increase the number of air transportation between China and Uzbekistan was voiced during a meeting between the management of Uzbekistan Airports and representatives of the airline. Also, as part of the negotiations, issues of expanding cargo transportation between the two countries were discussed," the statement said.
Currently, Loong Air successfully operates regular passenger flights on the routes Chengdu - Tashkent three times a week and Xi'an - Tashkent also three times a week.
