Navoi Region: $1.6 Billion in New Projects and 10,000 Jobs Ahead
On August 7, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a meeting to discuss the results of reforms and development plans in Navoi Region. Over the past eight years, more than 7,000 projects worth $8 billion have been implemented, creating 73,000 jobs and tripling the number of entrepreneurs from 10,000 to 30,000.

In the first half of 2025, investments reached $643 million, exports totaled $635 million, $550 million worth of new production facilities were launched, and 1,140 trade and service facilities opened. The region holds 20% of Uzbekistan’s mineral reserves and 43% of its pastures, yet much of this potential remains untapped.

Investors plan to commit $566 million to develop eight deposits in Gazgan, Nurota, Khatirchi, Navbahor, and Uchkuduk, which will boost industrial output by 2.5 trillion soums and exports by $100 million. Proposals include establishing a 50-hectare industrial zone in Nurota for granite processing and expanding embroidery centers across more mahallas.

In agriculture, three million hectares of pastures present vast opportunities for livestock and export growth. An additional $1.6 billion project package is expected to create 10,000 jobs, add 1 trillion soums to the budget, and generate $238 million in exports.

The President instructed to strengthen cooperation between large and small businesses, expand tourism and services, create modern recreation areas, and ensure efficient use of water and land resources.
