Citizens of Uzbekistan died in a fire in the Moscow region

On the night of May 23, a fire broke out at a hostel located in the village of Padikovo, Istra urban district, Moscow region, resulting in the death of Uzbekistan citizens, according to the "Dunyo" news agency.
According to preliminary information from the Consular Section of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Moscow, approximately 20 foreign citizens resided in the burned-down building, 11 of whom were citizens of Uzbekistan.
As a result of the fire, 8 citizens lost their lives, and their identities are currently being established. Among the deceased are citizens of Uzbekistan. At present, the bodies of the deceased are at the Bureau of Forensic Medical Examination in the city of Istra for further identification.
A criminal case under Article 109 of the Criminal Code of Russia (Causing Death by Negligence) has been initiated in connection with this incident.
The Consular Section of the Embassy and the Representation of the Agency for External Labour Migration in Moscow are monitoring the situation closely.
