Uzbekistan

Starting from February 1, 2025, the movement of citizens and vehicles through the border checkpoint “Dovud ota” will be temporarily suspended for three months. These restrictions are due to renovation work at the “Tajen” border checkpoint on the Kazakh side.

According to the press service of Uzbekistan’s State Customs Committee, trucks with a carrying capacity of over 3.5 tons will be allowed to continue passing through the checkpoint.

For citizens and businesses, alternative routes are recommended through the “Yallama,” “Zangiota (Navoi Customs Post),” “Ok Oltin,” and “Malik” border checkpoints.

The renovation of the “Tajen” checkpoint aims to improve infrastructure and increase capacity, which is expected to reduce waiting times and streamline cross-border movement between the two countries in the future.
