During Ramadan — A Significant Step Toward Preserving Spiritual Heritage

Uzbekistan

During the blessed month of Ramadan — a time of spiritual reflection, compassion, and good deeds — an event of special public significance took place in Uzbekistan. The renovated Amiri Akhtam pilgrimage complex, located in the Sharof Rashidov district of Jizzakh region, was officially inaugurated in a renewed and modern form.

During Ramadan — A Significant Step Toward Preserving Spiritual Heritage
The project was implemented within the framework of the Resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, dated October 12, 2021, aimed at preserving and improving historical and religious heritage sites. Across the country, systematic efforts are underway to modernize sacred sites, enhance infrastructure, and create comfortable conditions for pilgrims while strengthening national spiritual values.

Thanks to nearly 5 billion UZS in philanthropic funding allocated by BMB HOLDING, the complex underwent full reconstruction. The surrounding area was благоустроена, modern infrastructure was developed, and more than one kilometer of road was asphalted. The site has been transferred to the balance of the Republican Agency for Cultural Heritage.

The inauguration during the holy month of Ramadan gave the project special symbolic meaning, highlighting the connection between charitable initiatives, constructive development, and respect for historical memory.
