In his remarks, the President stated: “Yesterday I visited the region and spoke with ordinary people. I can confidently say that the spirit of the New Uzbekistan has already entered every neighborhood, every home. This is the greatest result of our reforms.”

It was noted that over the past eight years, the machine-building industry in Andijan has grown 20-fold. According to the President, a strong base of experience has been formed in this field, and more entrepreneurs are showing interest in launching new businesses. At the same time, equipment worth 1 billion dollars has been imported into the region over the past two years.

The President believes that mastering such technologies will be a crucial step in transitioning the economy to a new technological level.

For instance, the “Molecular Chemistry” company in Bulakboshi has started manufacturing the only dyeing machines of their kind in the country. Officials were instructed to find another 10–15 such entrepreneurs and create favorable conditions for them.

It was also noted that some entrepreneurs are hesitant to invest in projects due to the complexity and duration of certification and registration processes for equipment. Responsible authorities were instructed to establish close communication with entrepreneurs and assist them in moving their projects forward.

It was decided that centers for mechanical engineering and design production would be established in Andijan. Industry leaders will study the technical specifications of at least five types of imported equipment in key sectors such as textiles, leather and footwear, furniture, and automotive manufacturing, and propose domestic production alternatives.

Entrepreneurs who express a desire to localize such equipment in Uzbekistan will be offered preferential loans of up to 5 billion soums.
