EU extended to Belarus a number of sanctions already imposed against Russia

In particular, the EU banned imports of gold, diamonds, helium, coal and mineral products, crude oil from Belarus, reports the EU Council.
Also, the EU bans the transport of goods by motor vehicles, including trailers and semi-trailers, registered in Belarus.
Recall that the EU adopted the 14th package of sanctions against Russia. As announced by the EU Council, the restrictions include the transit of Russian LNG through European ports. However, the document notes, the West will continue to buy Russian liquefied gas. In addition, sanctions were imposed against 116 individuals and legal entities of Russia.
