Uzbekistan's National Artist Farukh Zokirov has been awarded the honorary title of National Artist of the Republic of Azerbaijan by President Ilham Aliyev. This title was given for his contributions to the development of cultural ties between Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan.

Farukh Zokirov holds the title of National Artist in seven regions: Uzbekistan, Karakalpakstan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Ingushetia, Tatarstan, and Bashkortostan. He is a renowned Uzbek pop singer, composer, and actor, well-known both in Uzbekistan and abroad.

Farukh Zokirov was born on April 16, 1946, in Tashkent to a family of professional musicians. His father, Karim Zokirov, was an opera singer and People's Artist of Uzbekistan, while his mother, Shoista Saidova, was a national singer. In 1969, Farukh Zokirov graduated from the Tashkent State Conservatory and became the leader of the "Yalla" ensemble.

Since 1976, under Farukh Zokirov's leadership, the "Yalla" ensemble has gained wide recognition and remains popular in many countries, including Russia, Kazakhstan, Georgia, the USA, and others.
