Production of modern construction materials expands in Karakalpakstan

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev inspected the operations of the "Coals KS" enterprise in the city of Nukus.
The total cost of the project is $16.3 million. The enterprise has established production lines for aerated concrete blocks and lime. A 4.8-hectare plot within the "Nukus" Free Economic Zone has been allocated for aerated concrete block production, while the lime production facilities are located on a 4.8-hectare site in the Karauzak district.
The enterprise has an annual production capacity of 300,000 cubic meters of aerated concrete blocks and 165,000 tons of lime. In addition to supplying the domestic market with modern construction materials, this will enable exports; plans are in place to supply products to Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan.
Local resources account for 96 percent of the raw materials used in production. Specifically, quartz sand, cement, and gypsum are supplied by domestic enterprises. This is crucial for reducing production costs and ensuring supply stability.
The aerated concrete blocks produced at the enterprise are lightweight and possess excellent thermal and sound insulation properties. They are three to four times lighter than traditional bricks, which helps reduce construction costs.
Currently, the enterprise employs 200 local residents. To date, the company has implemented five major projects with a total value of $200 million. Construction work is ongoing for four additional new projects totaling $40 million.
The Head of State inspected the production processes and finished goods, heard a briefing on the enterprise's future plans, and held a candid conversation with the workers.
Emphasis was placed on the importance of maintaining high product quality while reducing production costs, as well as the need to expand production volumes and export capabilities and to regularly upgrade employee skills. Relevant recommendations and instructions were issued to the enterprise's management and responsible officials.
