Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Saidov met with Oman Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Albusaidi in Oman's capital Muscat on 26 June 2024.

"Candid meeting with my colleague Oman Foreign Minister H.E. Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Albusaidi. Uzbekistan and Oman are bound with rich historical ties and cultural heritage, share common vision for the prosperous development. Discussed the top priority areas Uzbekistan and Oman Foreign Ministries must focus on to enrich our enhancing bilateral cooperation, including but not limited to trade and economics, green energy, connectivity, capacity building, people-to-people ties, regional and global agenda. We also signed the agreement on visa exception for diplomatic passport holders," Bakhtiyor Saidov wrote in his Telegram channel.

It is worth noting that the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received in Uzbekistan a delegation from the Sultanate of Oman headed by Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Albusaidi on 15 April 2024. During the meeting, the sides considered issues of expanding mutually beneficial cooperation between the two countries, especially effective realisation of potential in trade, economic and investment spheres. It was proposed to implement new projects and programmes in such priority areas as the development of the banking sector, digital technologies, energy, industry, agriculture and education.
