Hamas has officially denied media reports claiming the movement was ready to hand over its weapons to a body under international supervision. The group said the information was false and did not represent its position.

Hamas Denies Reports of Willingness to Disarm
Earlier, Al Hadath and Al Arabiya reported that Hamas had allegedly informed the United States of its readiness to disarm as part of a plan proposed by former U.S. President Donald Trump, transferring its weapons to a joint Palestinian-Egyptian authority under UN oversight.

In a statement released by its press office, Hamas stressed that “reports about agreeing to hand over weapons or to disarm are completely false.” Movement representatives said such claims aim to “distort the image of the resistance and undermine public trust among Palestinians.”

Hamas reaffirmed that its weapons “remain a means of defending the Palestinian people” and “cannot be subject to external agreements.”

Neither Al Hadath nor Al Arabiya has yet commented on the denial.

Hamas maintains its firm stance on preserving its armed wing, despite reports of ongoing diplomatic initiatives involving the United States, Egypt, and the United Nations.
