Presidents of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and the United States Donald Trump, during a telephone conversation, exchanged not only New Year's greetings but also mutual invitations for visits. The American leader also invited his Uzbek counterpart to the G20 summit in Miami next year.

On December 23, a telephone conversation took place between President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and President of the United States Donald Trump. The leaders exchanged New Year's greetings and discussed a wide range of bilateral and international cooperation issues.

According to the press service of the head of Uzbekistan, during the conversation, a high assessment was given to the progress in implementing the agreements reached during the autumn meetings. President Mirziyoyev separately noted Trump's efforts in resolving international crises. The parties emphasized the importance of multilateral formats such as "Central Asia + USA" (C5+1).

The culmination of the conversation was mutual invitations. Shavkat Mirziyoyev invited Donald Trump to visit Uzbekistan. In turn, the American president, in his account on the Truth social network, reported on "two beautiful conversations" with the leaders of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan, calling the relations "great." He invited both presidents to join as guests at the G20 summit, which will be held in Miami in 2026.

Thus, the conversation laid the groundwork for further activation of political dialogue and potential personal high-level meetings in the coming year.
