High academic honor for Uzbekistan’s leader

President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev has been awarded the honorary titles of Doctor and Professor by Pakistan’s National University of Sciences and Technology. The certificate was presented by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif during the first meeting of the High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council.
The honorary titles were conferred in recognition of the Uzbek leader’s outstanding contribution to socio-economic and educational reforms, the country’s sustainable modernization, the development of science and technology, and the strengthening of international cooperation and academic ties.
During the ceremony, Mirziyoyev thanked the Prime Minister, the university leadership, and the academic community for the honor, emphasizing the importance of further strengthening educational ties and jointly training highly qualified specialists.
Founded in 1991, the National University of Sciences and Technology combines research and innovation, graduate and doctoral education, and the promotion of applied research oriented toward the needs of industry and the economy.
