How the Senate Committee Head Observed Voting in Armenia

Uzbekistan continues to actively strengthen its authority on the international stage, acting as a guarantor of democratic procedures within the region. The head of a key committee of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis arrived in Armenia as part of an influential international mission to personally oversee the parliamentary elections. The visit extended beyond a routine inspection of polling stations in Yerevan; the Uzbek politician held a series of high-level strategic meetings with the leadership of the Armenian parliament and the judiciary, thoroughly examining the mechanisms for protecting citizens' electoral rights and the legal nuances of the campaign.
On June 7, Abdulkhakim Eshmuratov, Chairman of the Senate Committee of the Oliy Majlis on Judicial-Legal Issues and Counter-Corruption, visited Armenia as an international observer representing the CIS Interparliamentary Assembly. During the parliamentary elections, the senator inspected polling stations in Yerevan, evaluating the voting process, commission operations, and conditions provided for voters.
As part of the mission, Eshmuratov held talks with Alen Simonyan, Chairman of the National Assembly of Armenia, focusing on electoral legislation reforms and campaign conditions. He also met with Karen Zarikyan, Chairman of the Administrative Court of Armenia, to exchange views on legal issues emerging during the election campaign and the role of the judiciary in protecting citizens' voting rights.
