At the meeting, Shavkat Mirziyoyev gave a series of instructions for the comprehensive development of the Jizzakh region.

The Jizzakh region has significant potential for livestock development. By the end of the year, officials were tasked with establishing one large livestock cluster each in the Sharaf-Rashidov and Zarbdar districts.

Directions were also given for the development of beekeeping and fisheries, opportunities identified through drones on agricultural and forest land.

An industrial technopark will be established in Zomi district, a branch of Jizzak industrial zone will be established in Shodlik neighbourhood of Zarbdar district, and industrial zones will be established in Chimkurgan neighbourhood of Zafarabad district and Tokchilik neighbourhood of Sharaf-Rashidov district.

It was emphasized that it is necessary to support the certification process of local basalt products for export, increase the use of basalt products in construction norms, including construction, irrigation, and municipal services. It was instructed to attract scientists and specialists from Europe and other developed countries for research work in this area.

The industry leadership's immediate goal is to attract $1 billion in investments over the next three years, increase automobile production capacity to 100,000 units, and create 10,000 highly-paid jobs.

It is also determined to create a "tourist ring" on 10 objects of cultural heritage with assigning them the status of a tourist neighbourhood, with subsequent repair of roads leading to the objects of the "tourist ring". In addition, it was instructed to approve a programme of construction of modern houses for 50 thousand flats instead of about 2 thousand old houses.
