Uzbek athlete among three strongest at international athletics competition

In the Cypriot city of Limassol, the international athletics competition "Cyprus International Athletics Meeting" took place.

Representing Uzbekistan, Anvar Anvarov managed to win the silver medal in the long jump at this tournament.
"It is worth noting that in the competition, Anvarov was only surpassed by the Tokyo 2020 Olympic champion, Miltiadis Tentoglou (Greece). According to the results, Tentoglou recorded a distance of 8.25 metres, while Anvarov achieved 7.97 metres. The trio was completed by Darcy Roper from Australia, with a result of 7.72 metres," the statement said.
It is worth mentioning that currently, in Bishkek (Kyrgyzstan), a stage of the Nations Cup of the Eurasian League in show jumping and dressage is taking place. Representatives of the Uzbekistan national team are participating in this competition, which serves as a qualification for the final stage of the World Cup.
