During a video conference chaired by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, it was noted that this spring, within the framework of the "Yashil makon" project, it is planned to plant 125 million seedlings.

However, criticism has been directed at the lack of clear plans in most regions and districts regarding the locations where tree planting will take place, as well as the absence of allocated funds for irrigation and planting.

Additionally, insufficient efforts have been noted in planting trees and flowers along roads, both motorways and railways, as well as along riverbanks and canals, in residential quarters, on streets, in multi-story buildings, and in maintaining cleanliness.

It has been observed that construction companies, cement, brick, and lime manufacturers, petrochemical producers, paint companies, leather goods manufacturers, thermal plants, and petrol stations are not initiating tree planting in accordance with their environmental impact.

Overall, the conference highlighted the inadequacy of promotional and explanatory work in popularising tree planting and turning this process into a nationwide movement.
