Increased Penalties for Illegal Handling of Pyrotechnic Products
Uzbekistan
Uzbekistan has strengthened penalties for the illegal production, storage, and distribution of pyrotechnic products. These changes are reflected in a new law signed by the President (Law No. O‘RQ-949, dated 28.08.2024).
According to the new law, strict measures will be applied for the illegal production, preparation, storage, transportation, import, or export of pyrotechnic products. These violations are considered acts that pose a significant threat to public safety, and the law now imposes increased penalties for such offenses.
The amendments are aimed at ensuring public safety and combating the illegal trade of pyrotechnics. Additionally, the law establishes strict liability for the illegal sale and import of pyrotechnic products into the country.
The law comes into force upon its official publication and is intended to significantly reduce illegal activities related to pyrotechnics.
