Five more temples have been destroyed in the latest Israeli attacks.
Since the escalation of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, the number of mosques destroyed by Israeli strikes in the Gaza Strip has exceeded 30. This is according to a report by the Gaza Awqaf Ministry.
According to the department, five more temples were destroyed in recent attacks by the Israeli army.
On the morning of 7 October, the militant wing of Hamas, the Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades, announced the launch of Operation Al-Aqsa Flood against Israel. Thousands of rockets were fired from the Gaza Strip towards Israel and armed groups entered Israeli population centres.
Hamas said the operation was in response to the invasion of the Al-Aqsa Mosque in occupied East Jerusalem and growing violence by Israeli immigrants against Palestinians.
In response, the Israeli army announced an operation against Hamas in the Gaza Strip using dozens of fighter jets.
Some 4,400 Palestinians and 1,400 Israelis have reportedly been killed since the Israeli-Palestinian conflict escalated.
