Italy Appoints a New Ambassador to Uzbekistan

Uzbekistan's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Bakhtiyor Saidov, received Italy’s newly appointed Ambassador Piergabriele Papadia de Bottini today.
“We congratulate Mr. Piergabriele Papadia de Bottini on his appointment as Italy's Ambassador to Uzbekistan,” wrote Uzbekistan’s Foreign Minister on his Telegram channel.
“After receiving copies of his credentials, we discussed the priority areas of strategic cooperation between Uzbekistan and Italy.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is always ready to support the Ambassador during his mission in our country,” reported the Dunyo news agency.
The 55-year-old diplomat Piergabriele Papadia de Bottini succeeds Agostino Pinna, who headed Italy’s Embassy in Tashkent from 2020 to 2024.
