In 2024, Kazakhstan will hold large-scale military exercises with the participation of Central Asian countries - Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan, the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Kazakhstan reports on its official website.

Kazakhstan's Defence Minister Ruslan Zhaksylykov said: "This year our country will host large-scale exercises with the participation of five states, which should be held at a high organisational level. It is extremely important for us to preserve friendly relations between brotherly nations".

The press release noted that next year the Armed Forces of Kazakhstan are planning to hold 160 events on operational training and more than 70 thousand combat exercises. In addition, the first championship of CIS countries on Kazakh national wrestling will be organised in Almaty.
