Kim Jong Un Orders the Creation of a Modern Army in North Korea
Kim Jong Un emphasized the necessity of modernizing and reinforcing the country’s army to remain ready for any military confrontation.

Kim Jong Un visited the Kang Kon Military Academy in Pyongyang, where he criticized the shortcomings in the military training system. He stressed the importance of improving the quality of military education, training cadets in modern warfare tactics, and integrating advanced technology into military operations.

This visit came after North Korea sent thousands of its troops to Russia to support the war against Ukraine. According to South Korean intelligence, Kim's inspections of military units and training facilities may indicate preparations for dispatching additional troops to Russia.

South Korean officials have expressed concerns that North Korea’s military cooperation with Russia could provide its forces with valuable combat experience in modern warfare conditions.

According to KCNA, Kim Jong Un criticized the management and educational processes at the military academy, issuing specific directives for modernization. He believes that increasing military threats on the global stage necessitate further development of North Korea’s armed forces and their readiness for any potential conflicts.
