The investment agenda of the visit was thoroughly evaluated during meetings with the leadership of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), the Japan Business Federation ("Keidanren"), and the "Japan – Uzbekistan Silk Road" Fund. The sides focused heavily on the project financing of major infrastructure initiatives and socially significant tracks. Substantive discussions with the top management of leading Japanese corporations culminated in the signing of a comprehensive package of agreements to launch joint projects across eight key segments: energy, the financial and banking sector, microfinance, logistics, healthcare, biotechnology, and the food industry.
