Mass demonstrations broke out in Brussels
Thousands of demonstrators protested in Brussels on September 16 against the threat to close the Audi car factory. Earlier, the German Volkswagen car manufacturer announced that its Belgian subsidiary Audi may reduce production. The Brussels Times has confirmed that Audi has no long-term production plans in Brussels.

According to trade unions, more than 10,000 people took to the streets, according to the police, about 5,500 people strongly criticized the factory administration, saying, "Our life is not a conveyor belt."

Also, "We will be without jobs, without money and without prospects," an Audi official explained in an interview with AFP.

Belgian trade unions fear that the closure of the plant could put up to 3,000 people out of work in the country.

Representatives of trade unions are criticizing not only the management of the concern, but also Yale officials.
