Italian fashion house Prada will develop the equipment for NASA's Artemis III lunar mission in collaboration with Axiom Space.

The Artemis III mission, scheduled for 2025, will be the first moon landing since Apollo 17 in December 1972.

According to Axiom Space CEO Michael Suffredini, Prada has technical expertise in raw materials, manufacturing techniques and innovative design concepts.

"Astronauts on the lunar surface need advanced technology to create comfort. The new one also takes into account factors not present in older spacesuits," says Michael Suffredini.
The company also revealed that Prada engineers will work alongside the Axiom Space Systems team throughout the design process, developing material solutions and design features to protect against the unique challenges of space and the lunar environment.
