Law enforcement officers discovered a large illegal plantation of narcotic plants in the Dangara district of the Fergana region. The special operation, conducted on April 28, ended with the detention of a local resident, on whose plot more than 55 thousand bushes of opium poppy and more than 40 bushes of hemp were found.
According to the press service of the Department of Internal Affairs of the Fergana region, the man organized the cultivation of prohibited plants on a household plot of about 1.5 hectares. In addition, 600 grams of ready-made marijuana were seized from the detainee's home.
