New Enterprise of the Textile Cluster Launched
This enterprise, called “WBM Fabrics,” represents the next stage in the processing chain. As part of a $50 million investment project, a modern industrial facility was constructed and high-tech equipment from Italy and Germany was installed. Fabric dyeing and printing operations have been established. The facility has the capacity to produce 24,000 tons of highly demanded products annually. The project has created 600 permanent jobs.

Notably, the complex includes a modern water treatment plant imported from Italy. It purifies technical water used in the dyeing shop for reuse, playing a significant role in ensuring efficiency and environmental sustainability.

The head of state inspected the production processes and spoke with specialists. Topics discussed included the efficient use of production space, reducing costs through energy efficiency, and improving the professional skills of workers.

It is worth noting that the enterprise is export-oriented, with an annual export volume of $55 million.

The textile industry in Andijan region is developing rapidly. The deep processing of locally grown cotton within a modern cluster system is expanding. The region accounts for 16.5% of the country's textile production. In 2024, textile products worth 20 trillion Uzbek soums were manufactured in Andijan, with exports reaching $488 million — representing 42% of the region’s total exports.
