The fire has engulfed over 9,200 acres (about 37 square kilometers) and is spreading rapidly due to strong winds and dry weather conditions. The fire’s origin is located 72 kilometers northwest of Los Angeles, near Castaic Lake, close to residential areas and schools.

More than 4,000 firefighters have been deployed to combat the blaze. Despite challenging conditions, 14% of the fire has been contained so far. Authorities emphasize that the situation remains dynamic, and full containment has yet to be achieved.

Los Angeles County Fire Chief Anthony Marrone stated that this fire differs from other major wildfires earlier this month. "The situation is tense, but we have managed to mobilize resources quickly and make significant progress," he noted.

Rescue services report that no homes or businesses have been damaged at this time. However, the fire poses a serious threat due to intensifying winds, which could reach speeds of up to 48 km/h.

Authorities strongly urge residents in affected areas to comply with evacuation orders and remain prepared for further developments.
