During his visit to Namangan region, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev got acquanted with the presentation of the stages of construction of New Namangan. This was reported by the press service of the head of Uzbekistan.
It is reported that the construction of the city began two years ago. To date, multi-storey buildings for 2,764 flats have been built, and another 648 houses are under construction.
The city is designed for 200 thousand residents. There will be kindergartens, schools and other social institutions, an industrial zone. The New Uzbekistan Park will also be created here.
The head of Uzbekistan stressed that the city should be comfortable, safe and ensure quality operation, in short, become an embodiment of the "smart city" concept. In this regard, instructions have been given on detailed elaboration of the project and strengthening control over the quality of work.
