New rules for couriers have been approved in Uzbekistan
The document "On the procedure for carrying out the activities of the courier service in electronic commerce," developed by the National Agency for Perspective Projects, regulates the rules for the work of couriers and delivery services.

According to the regulation, a courier is an individual - including a self-employed person - who carries out the delivery of goods on the basis of an employment or civil law contract with entrepreneurs or delivery service operators.

"Delivery service operators and couriers have the right to accept payments from buyers for goods or delivery services, if this is stipulated in the contract," the document notes. At the same time, payment acceptance is possible only with the issuance of a check or receipt - in electronic or paper form. The use of the cash register is mandatory.

Special requirements are established for the delivery of food products. Vehicles and thermal containers used in transport must be kept clean and in good working order, regularly washed, and disinfected.

Couriers are prohibited from opening the packaging of goods without the buyer's consent, as well as disclosing clients' personal data and information about delivered goods to third parties.
