Next Batch of Hepatitis C Medication Delivered to Tashkent from Egypt

The next batch of "Sofosbuvir-400mg," provided as humanitarian aid by the Egyptian government to Uzbekistan, has been delivered to Tashkent. The shipment was transported by Uzbekistan Airways from Sharm El-Sheikh to Tashkent.
The 27th batch of aid from the Egyptian government consists of 30 boxes containing 7,200 units of "Sofosbuvir-400mg." The medication will be distributed to patients in need as part of Uzbekistan's national program to eliminate hepatitis C by 2030. The distribution will be managed by the Scientific Research Institute of Virology under the Ministry of Health.
According to Uzbekistan's embassy in Cairo, the Egyptian government has agreed to provide Uzbekistan with 800,000 units (approximately 40 tons) of medication, including "Daclatasvir" and "Sofosbuvir" for hepatitis C and "Entecavir" for hepatitis B, as a donation worth a total of $4.2 million.
To date, Uzbekistan has received 13.4 tons of these medications, valued at $1.461 million.
