Nokia will cease to exist

Mobile device manufacturer HMD Global has taken decisive steps by removing all references to the Nokia brand from its official website. This is a symbolic moment, ending the era of Nokia, the once legendary representative in the smartphone market.

Nokia will cease to exist
With significant changes in the mobile phone and smartphone market, HMD Global plans to focus on developing its own products. The company intends to strengthen its position in the Asian and Indian markets, where the Nokia brand has lost its former popularity.

As part of its new strategy, HMD Global is preparing to launch budget models of the TA-1585 smartphone and HMD T21 tablet, which will be the company's first steps towards revamping its range and gaining market share.

HMD Global plans to expand its presence in the European market, but the Nokia name is expected to fade into oblivion by then, giving way to new brands. Nokia's return to the market seems unlikely and consumers will have to accept the new reality.
