Number of Benefit Recipients in Uzbekistan Exceeds 708,000

According to the Pension Fund under the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Uzbekistan, as of February 1, 2025, the number of benefit recipients without work experience has reached 708,731. This figure increased by 48,959 compared to the same period last year.
Experts believe that the increase in the number of benefit recipients reflects a growing need for social protection and the government's strengthened efforts to meet this demand.
Increase Observed in the Following Categories:
Children with disabilities under 18 – 170,615 (+3,211);
Disability benefit recipients – 313,052 (+17,523);
Care benefit recipients – 75,453 (+6,663);
Age-related benefit recipients – 85,749 (+9,869);
Survivor’s benefit recipients – 56,476 (+4,307);
Elderly and disabled individuals in need of care – 7,386 (+2,969).
According to the Ministry of Finance, the funds allocated for social benefits and financial assistance are increasing every year. Officials emphasize that in the future, the social benefit system will be further improved to maximize the protection of the rights and interests of vulnerable populations.
