Number of US tourists to Uzbekistan in five months revealed

In January-May this year Uzbekistan was visited by 10.6 thousand tourists from the United States, the press service of the Statistics Agency under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan reports.

The main purposes of travelling tourists from the US to Uzbekistan in five months:
― holidays - 8446 persons
― on duty - 1,089 persons
― visiting relatives - 832 persons
― commercial purposes - 167 persons
― other purposes - 136 people
It is worth noting that trade turnover between Uzbekistan and the United States is growing: at the end of 2023 it increased by 30 per cent. The number of American companies successfully operating in the Uzbek market is also increasing.
